Art Classes, Workshops and Creative Experiences

Samson Art have provided fun and professional art tuition and creative experiences to thousands of aspiring artists across North-east Scotland.

In addition to 20 years lecturing experience, Mike and Ally Samson have 10 years of formal art training in Fine Art, Illustration and Design.

Mike is known for contemporary landscape paintings and drawings exploring the ever-changing Scottish landscape and has also worked on a number of high-profile portrait commissions. He graduated from Gray's School of Art, winning numerous national awards before touring Europe on a Royal Scottish Academy scholarship. He went on to complete a Post-graduate diploma in Art and Design, a further Post-grad in education and a Master's Degree in Fine Art, while holding a senior lecturer post in Aberdeen. Ally brings a background in Illustration and Graphic Design; she graduated top of her year from College in Dundee.

They now tutor, demonstrate and exhibit together, regularly leading art trips and residentials throughout the UK and Europe.
