Over the past few years Michael has been fortunate to have the opportunity to develop his portrait technique with a few high profile portrait commissions (most notably the Chief Guest Conductor of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra – Donald Runnicles).

A portrait commission is a fantastic way of celebrating a milestone in a family member’s or your own life and normally it involves posing for a sitting. If it isn’t possible to arrange a sitting, the painting can be produced from good quality photographs. Get in touch and Michael would be happy to discuss your requirements.

The cost of a portrait commission varies depending on several factors – size, materials, subject matter etc. so it’s useful when you get in touch to have a budget in mind. Prices for unframed portraits currently start at around £750.
