Saturday Art Session – A room with a View

Generations of Artists have used the view from their rooms as inspiration… From the vibrant, sun-drenched coastal vistas of Henri Matisse to the atmospheric, light-filled rooms of the Impressionists and Edward Hopper, windows have long served as a compositional tool and a threshold between the comforting interior and the expansive outside world. Our next Saturday Art Session invites you to explore this inspiring tradition and create your own window-view masterpiece. You can choose from one of our provided compositions or feel free to bring a photo of your favourite window view!

Held at Corbie Hall in Milltimber, the workshop runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday the 14th of November. Whether you are picking up a paintbrush for the very first time or you’re an experienced artist looking for fresh inspiration, you’ll receive full, step-by-step tuition and live demonstrations throughout the day from two practising artists – Mike and Ally Samson.

All art materials and subject matter are provided for you. Simply turn up, relax, and create. To keep your creative energy flowing, complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits will be served throughout the day.
