The Experimental Artist is an 8-week hands-on course for anyone who wishes they were more experimental in their creativity. Through practice, playful experimentation and supportive teaching you’ll develop both confidence and personal style as you explore different media and approaches.

The Experimental Artist is a practical, confidence-building art course designed for anyone who wants to be more experimental with their creative skills while exploring a range of media and techniques. Rather than focusing on a single style or outcome, this course emphasises growth, experimentation, and building your personal artistic voice step by step.
Across the 8-week session we’ll look at how artists generate inspiration, how to translate ideas into visual form, and how different materials change the way we see and respond to a subject. Through demonstrations, exercises, and supportive feedback, you’ll gain both technical skills and creative confidence.
This course is ideal for those who want to deepen their practice, reconnect with their creativity, or move beyond copying toward more expressive making — all in a relaxed, encouraging environment, with the guidance of TWO inspiring professional artists!
