£50.00

Explore the art of cinematic storytelling in this immersive Saturday workshop inspired by artists such as Edward Hopper, George Tooker and Nigel Van Wieck. Through painting and drawing exercises, we’ll investigate atmosphere, lighting, composition and narrative to create artwork with a strong cinematic feel. Saturday 13th June, 10am–4pm. £50 including all materials.

Our Cinematic Saturday Art Session is a full-day creative workshop exploring the connection between cinema and visual art. Drawing inspiration from artists including Edward Hopper, George Tooker, Martin Lewis and Nigel Van Wieck, we’ll look at how mood, lighting, composition and storytelling can transform ordinary scenes into powerful visual narratives.

Throughout the day, we will experiment with cinematic compositions in drawing and painting — exploring dramatic lighting contrasts, evocative colour palettes, urban solitude, staged compositions and moments that feel suspended in time.

Suitable for all experience levels, this relaxed and inspiring workshop runs from 10am–4pm on Saturday 13th June and costs £50. All art materials are provided — participants simply need to bring a packed lunch.
